Go into your Neighbourhood
Walk your street, your school route, your market. Find one problem that is real, local and specific.
A statewide school challenge organised by ICORG for students of Classes 8–12.
The Social Innovation Ideathon invites school students — the future leaders — to engage with real societal challenges in their communities, gather evidence and imagine ideas that improve quality of life, contributing to Swarnandhra Vision 2047.
What is the Ideathon
The Social Innovation Ideathon invites school students across Andhra Pradesh to look closely at the place they live in — a street, a bus stop, a lake, a classroom, a hospital queue — and name one problem that genuinely bothers them.
Then they do what innovators do: walk the ground, talk to people, take photos, count things, and build a case with evidence. From that evidence, they imagine how the same place could look five to ten years from now if technology and good design were put to work.
Every idea contributes to Vision Swarna Andhra — a golden, future-ready state built by the generation that will live in it.

The student journey
Four steps — only curiosity, evidence and imagination.

Walk your street, your school route, your market. Find one problem that is real, local and specific.

Photos, counts, short interviews, small surveys. Show the problem instead of only describing it.

Picture the same place in five to ten years. What technology, design or system change fixes it?

Bring it together on a single poster — the problem, the proof, and the future you propose.
Think Global. Act Local. (Glocal)

Where to look
These are starting points, not boundaries. If your team finds a problem outside this list, bring it — as long as it is real and local.
Safer, smoother movement for everyone
02Care that reaches everyone, in time
03Clean water, every single day
04From dumping grounds to circular systems
05Public spaces that feel safe to everyone
06Learning without barriers
07Ready before nature surprises us
08Smarter fields, fairer markets
09Government that responds to people
Who it's for
Teams of 2–3 students from the same school. Students from different classes can team up. Curiosity matters more than marks.
A teacher coordinator is optional. If a team lists one, their role is to help with registration, permissions and general guidance — never to do the work.
Open to every state and union territory, and every kind of school — government, private, aided, central, international boards and open schooling.
What the jury looks for
Every claim needs proof — a photo, a count, a quote from someone who lives it.
Not "pollution in India". One junction, one lake, one ward, one school.
Show the five to ten year vision, not just a complaint about today.
